Assistant Professor
Muhaiminul Islam currently works at the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology. Muhaiminul Islam is an experienced faculty member specializing in Geo-informatics, urban planning, environmental studies, and disaster management. With four years of expertise, he excels in spatial analysis, leveraging geospatial technologies, and GIS applications.
As Project Director, Muhaiminul led impactful initiatives including 'Public Perceptions on Urban Open Space and City Livability in Barishal, Bangladesh' and 'Integrated Water Resource Management for Drought-Affected Regions in Bangladesh' in fiscal year 2020-2021. He actively contributes as an Associate Member of the Bangladesh Institute of Planners (BIP) and serves as Assistant Provost at Shahid Lt. Selim Hall, RUET, since December 2021.
His dedication lies in integrating Geo-informatics into urban development, environmental conservation, and disaster management, reflecting a commitment to sustainable practices."
